Fast Cooking 1.0 - http://files.moddb.com/6746/download-auto-cooking-patch/
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallout2/download.html?sid=6168675
This is a fan-made patch for the Wasteland Merc 2 mod. It speeds up the cooking process by allowing you to cook more than one piece of food at a time, the amount of which is determined by the trivial level of the food, and your outdoorsman skill.
*Note* This patch does NOT require you to make a new character
Each food type has a trivial point. This is the point at which you will always make the food and never burn any (theoretically). At the trivial skill you will be able to make 50 items of the food. Every 25% skill under the trivial is a lower tier of batching; 25, 10, 5, and finally 1. Also note that you’ll only be able to process a batch of food that you have enough raw resources for. For example, if you have 38 raw meats and 168% skill, you would normally be able to make 50 meats at a time; however, you’ll only be able to do 25, then 10 twice, then 5 and finally 3 singles.
1.0 - 3 Apr 2007
• Official Release
• Added in automation for Scorpion tail, Fish, and Eggs.
0.2 - 2 Apr 2007
• Fixed a bug with the batch counting. Was always cooking 25, even if you didn’t have enough skill.
0.1 - 2 Apr 2007
• Proof of Concept
Special thanks to Haris82 for the !owen script source. As well as to the entire WM team! Great mod guys!

| Ok i tested it. You made it work except that it kinda gives you 25 meats no mather how many meats you have on you. You need to make it check if player actually has more than 25 meats before it does that. When the final working version is done i will make a newspot on wm websites frontpage and a sticky thread about it here. And in newspots forum. And i will upload it on Gamespot. |

Well tested it now and it works. So you can jump from v.0.2 to v1.0. Just write a readme file that explains how to install the patch and describes the patch. Than zip readme file toghether with your version off !owen.int and upload it. Start a new thread where you post what read me file says and include that link. And i will sticky the post. And than i will write to gamespot so they can download it and host it.
PS: dont forget to explain in readme file that you dont have to restart your char for patch to work and that its fanmade patch and all that.
Once this is done i will grant you access to wm3 dev forum. Allthoe i think you will get kinda suprised when you read it. |

The patch works. I copied the owen file into Scripts, overriding the old one. My char had 150% outdoor. I had 40 raw meats on me. The first try cooked 25 at once. The second cooked 10, and the last one cooked the remaining 5.
NEAT.
Now, harris may complain that this will make the Farah lady useless, but how useful was she to begin with (ditto for Kingpin)
Is it possble to do something similar with mining? _________________ This text is copyright of ADONEX, inc. Quoting it will result in legal action against you. |

Yea she was allways useless. And she is not that useless now actually. Cause you can cook meat with her even if you have 0% outdoorsman. We where making the mod as mmorpg. Not everything was ment to be usefull. Take cultist for example, they are just there to rip you off. |
